Introduction
Through 30 photo portraits and video testimonials, this exhibition traces the stories of the community that has gravitated around the Centre de soutien entr’Aidants over the past 30 years. Discover the reality of caregivers, but also that of the volunteers and staff members who have all contributed to building the organization we know today; their difficulties as well as their joys, and the various reasons that led them to assume their role. All are involved, dedicated and, above all, committed.

A Word From Our Spokesperson
It is with great enthusiasm that I accepted the role of spokesperson for Committed: 30 Years – 30 Portraits. This series of magnificent testimonials are sensitive, touching, and sometimes touched with nostalgia and resilience. They allow us to put words and images to the reality that is too often hidden by those who are supporting people in need of care.
Being in the midst of setting up an intergenerational home that will allow me to be closer to and take care of my mother, I am aware of the importance of taking good care of those we love and who are around us. And I am also well aware of the sacrifices that this sometimes entails! I was shown the path to becoming an autonomous, fulfilled, emancipated woman, and it seems quite logical to me to now take the hand of the one who showed me this path and accompany her on hers.
With their kindness, love and dedication, the caregivers and staff members who work at the Centre de soutien entr’Aidants make a huge difference in the lives of hundreds of people. Thank you to the Centre for taking care of its caregivers by giving them the opportunity to have access to a wide range of resources and services while allowing them to take care of a loved one with serenity.
